I'm so excited to be part of the She Blog 2010 Summer Tour! As part of the exciting event, Sheblogs, Wellesse & Bella's Beauty Spot teamed up to bring you an amazing giveaway.
Unlike run-of-the-mill tablet and capsule supplements, Wellesse liquid formulations are not only easy to take, but are specially formulated to speed absorption into the body. That helps you reach your health and wellness goals even faster.
The Wellesse brand of premium liquid supplements contain scientifically supported ingredients in a concentrated dosage for maximum efficacy. Research has shown that nutrients from liquid sources can be more easily absorbed than from solids.
Vitamin D helps the immune system by aiding in the body’s natural defenses against illness and helps promote bone, teeth, breast and colon health.† Vitamin D may be especially helpful for those with limited sun exposure or dark skin, as well as older adults.
Wellesse Vitamin D3 liquid is suitable for young children (ages 4 years and up) and teenagers who do not like to swallow pills – it’s a great-tasting dietary supplement in a fast absorbing liquid formulation that’s easily taken by the whole family. Here’s why Vitamin D is important to moms and daughters:
1.) A study reported at the American Heart Association’s annual meeting in March showed that teens with high intakes of vitamin D may have lower overall body fat and lower amounts of abdominal fat.
2.) The American Academy of Pediatrics raised the Recommended Daily Intake for children starting with infants only a few days old and up from 200 to 400 international units in November.
3.) In December, The American Dermatology Association issued a position statement recommending fortified foods and supplements as the preferred vitamin D source, instead of unprotected sun exposure.
4.) A study conducted at the University of Southern California showed a correlation between low vitamin D levels and stunted growth and weight gain in girls.
5.) Pregnant women deficient in vitamin D at the time of delivery are four times more likely to have a C-section, compared with other pregnant women, according to a Boston University study

Wellesse Vitamin D is known as the liquid sunshine in a bottle. I just started taking the vitamins I need to stay healthy, never realizing how important vitamins are to our lifestyle and well being. Vitamin D is so important! It helps to proactively support a healthy immune system by aiding the body's natural defenses and is vital to bone, teeth, breast and colon health.

Wellesse Calcium & Vitamin D3 liquid is a fast-absorbing, great-tasting liquid supplement to ensure strong bones and bodies.
•1000 mg Calcium, 1000 IU Vitamin D3, Lactose Free
•Calcium helps build strong bones & teeth for men and women.
•Vitamin D helps with calcium absorption and supports immune health

ReplyDeleteI learned Women with the lowest 25(OH) vitamin D concentrations (≤47.5 nmol/L) had a higher fracture risk than did those with the highest concentrations (≥70.7 nmol/L) (adjusted odds ratio, 1.71 [CI, 1.05 to 2.79]), and the risk increased statistically significantly across quartiles of serum 25(OH) vitamin D concentration (P for trend = 0.016).

Vitamin D3 is a prohormone produced in skin through ultraviolet irradiation of 7-dehydrocholesterol. It is biologically inert and must be metabolized to 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 in the liver and then to 1{alpha},25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 in the kidney before function. The hormonal form of vitamin D3, ie, 1{alpha},25-dihydroxyvitamin D3, acts through a nuclear receptor to carry out its many functions, including calcium absorption, phosphate absorption in the intestine, calcium mobilization in bone, and calcium reabsorption in the kidney. It also has several noncalcemic functions in the body. This overview provides a brief description of the physiologic, endocrinologic, and molecular biologic characteristics of vitamin D. It also provides information on new selective analogs of 1{alpha},25-dihydroyvitamin D3 for therapy.
