For those of you who have never heard of Etude House, it's a cosmetic company based in Korea. They carry fairly priced fun colorful makeup with decorative packaging that sucks me right in! The Etude House Secret Beam Highlighter in Number #1 Pink Mix is an array of pinks, yellows and whites all combined together to make a beautiful highlighting powder.
At first glance, I thought the color combo was fabulous, but after opening the compact, I was a little unsure of what the color would look like on my face and skin.
After applying on my face, I realized the color is very nice and bright, however it was a little light for my skin complexion. I think the #1 Pink Mix might be for someone with fair to light skin color. Etude House also sells the Secret Beam Highlighter in an orange mix, which I think probably would have looked a little better with my skin tone.
There's a nice pigment to the highlighter, but the light color is a little too overpowering. I would have liked to see this compact come with a brush, but hey, no biggie. I will continue to use the Secret Beam Highliter just for a more finished look to my makeup, and for a little added sparkle. And you have to admit, the colors together make a beautiful little compact ♥
I received product for the purpose of this review only. All opinions are my own.
