Get A Brazilian Blowout at Home Coppola Keratin Smoothing Treatment for Less

First of all, I want to tell you all I am aware of the warnings and dangers of the Brazilian Blowout. The Coppola Keratin Treatment is a bit different, with different ingredients however I'm sure there are other risks involved. This is just an informative, cheaper way to get straight beautiful hair without spending $300 dollars at the salon. I have done this several times, and had no issues. Please consult with a hair stylist before trying this yourself.

So what is it?

Keratin Complex by Coppola Natural Keratin Smoothing Treatment 32 oz (473 ml), is specifically formulated as a revitalizing and rejuvinating treatment that eliminates frizz and curls. It can be used on Color and Chemically treated hair with results typically lasting up to 3 month depending on hair type

The Keratin Complex formula offers the same silky result with its high percentage of keratin which is infused into the cuticle. “It’s all about the natural keratin,” says Coppola. “We are able to achieve these results without the formaldehyde in the Brazilian product.

Can be used on all hair types
Eliminates frizz and curl
Gentle, will not cause hair damage
No Unpleasant fumes or odors
Leaves hair softer, silkier and shinier
Less maintenance. Reduces daily styling time

So instead of spending hundreds of dollars at the salon, I have been doing the smoothing treatment myself. And this is how I do it. It costs about $65 dollars total, and is time consuming, however I find it safer and more cost effective to do it my own way.

So step 1: I purchase the Coppola Keratin Treatment (Which sells for about $400 a bottle) on Ebay. Because I don't want to purchase the entire bottle, I purchase a one time use for $49. Please make sure if you're going to do this, you find a trusted Ebay seller so you know what you are purchasing.

Step 2: I buy masks for my face so I'm not inhaling the fumes, I have a straightener that goes up to 450 degrees. (My Misikko Pink Flat Iron), get a brush for brushing the applicator on, some hair covers, gloves and the shampoo and conditioner (Can be bought at Ulta)

Here are the rest of the instructions:

1.Wash hair twice with Keratin Complex Clarifying Shampoo.
2.Blow hair to 100% Dry.
3.SHAKE BOTTLE WELL. Pour approximately 2-3oz Keratin Complex Color Care Smoothing Treatment into a bowl. Apply to hair with a tint brush using 1/2" sections. make sure hair is completely coated. Do not oversaturate. (GLOVES SHOULD BE WORN DURING APPLICATION)
4.Place plastic cap over hair and let sit for 30 minutes.
5.Remove cap and comb hair thoroughly with a fine tooth comb removing access product from hair. Tightly seal bottle after use.
6.Blow Dry treatment into with brush until completely dry.
7.Divide hair into 4 sections.
8.Using 400° flat iron, start at the nape and of the neck, taking 1/8" sections. Move the iron from root to ends 5-7 times. 3-5 times for fine or double processed hair.
9.After 3 days, wash hair only with Keratin Care or Color Care Shampoos and Conditioners.

So yes it's time consuming, but it's well worth it. I use the mask in case the smell gets too strong.

My hair was suppper gross after 3 days of not washing, stringy and nasty. But the results are well worth it! (Sorry, didn't post an after pic!) My hair is smooth and easy to manage now, and I saved tons of money! ♥

  1. Did you see the Good Housekeeping article that tested four products including the Coppola solution also and STILL found the formaldehyde?? DEF. need to wear the mask and do in a well ventilated area (like OUTDOORS). Formaldehyde causes CANCER!!!

  2. a LOT of things cause cancer... the hair treatments have been questioned for a while but i DO wear the mask.

  3. The facial healthy skin system known as microdermabrasion has been a most loved of Hollywood stars for quite a long time. best microcurrent machine reviews

  4. Rinse out the conditioner and shampoo thoroughly to keep buildup of the hair product at bay and minimize scalp issues.  100 brazilian hair
