Neutrogena Deep Clean Oil Remover Cleansing Wipes

Neutrogena Deep Clean® Oil-Free Makeup Remover Wipes feature ultra-soft, pre-moistened wipes that effectively and gently sweep away makeup, dirt and oil for clear, fresh skin. Oil-dissolvers go deep down to remove pore-clogging impurities and leave skin thoroughly cleansed with no heavy residue, so there's no need to rinse! .
I purchase these wipes for $7.99 at Ulta with a 20% off coupon only because I have never tried them before and I'm big on cleansing wipes. They are awesome for taking off dirt and makeup. Many times a regular cleanser won't get off every last particle so these wipes are essential for when you're in a hurry or you've been wearing a large amount of makeup all day.

I feel like I've always gave Neutrogena a fair shot, but somehow I always end up let down. I figured, What the heck? Let's try it again. The first thing I noticed was these don't come in a cute little package like my trusted Ole Henriksen Cleansing wipes. That bothered me because how was I going to keep the moisture in a lame little plastic bag? After opening these, I had to keep them in a plastic ziploc. Number 1 problem.

My second problem with the Neutrogena Deep Clean wipes is the smell. They carry a heavy alcohol scent that is unpleasant on my face. It also lingers for about a half hour, and I found myself pretty bothered by it.

Third problem is I didn't feel the freshly cleaned face I feel with my other wipes or cleansers. I don't think this took off all the makeup and dirt left over from the day's makeup. Afterwards I had a couple patches of dried flaky makeup that couldn't properly be taken care of with the wipes. Major bummer.

Overall I didn't like the Neutrogena wipes at all, in fact I'll probably end up giving them to someone who might be able to enjoy them a little more. For $7.99 you get 25 wipes which is a steal compared to other brands such as Ole Henriksen (my favorite), Yes to Carrots or Dermalogica. I think the part that was the most disturbing was the horrible stink.

Have you tried Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleansing Wipes? Thoughts?
