Tree Hut Coconut Lime Review + Pics

The key factor to combating dry skin is keeping your body hydrated with lots of fluids, particularly water. Water will nourish your body and support skin's natural moisture. Once your body receives the right amount of hydration, you can supplement your skin with natural moisturizers such as Shea Butter. And no one has drier skin then me! That's where Tree Hut comes in.

Tree Hut is a natural brand of skin care that is primarily based on Shea Butter, one of the best ingredients for your daily skin regimen. Here are a couple uses for Tree Hut products:

For skin conditioning and polishing - Try the Coconut Lime line of Tree Hut products. Coconut Extract aids in deeply moisturizing skin and Lime Extract a natural exfoliator.

For extra-dry flaky skin - Try the Brazilian Nut line of Tree Hut products. Brazil Nut Oil contains naturally occurring vitamins that prevent cell-turnover to repair extra dry skin from within.

For chapped or sunburned dry and sensitive skin - Try the Hawaiian Kukui line for Tree Hut products. Kukui Nut Oil aids in healing chapped or sunburned skin.

For anti-aging, repairing, and rejuvenating skin care - Try the Almond & Honey line of Tree Hut products. Almond Oil helps to repair and maintain the natural glow of skin, while Orange Oil supports collagen formation in skin.

Tree Hut's #1 scent right now is their Coconut Lime fragrance. When I think of what this could smell like, I think, Ugh Coconut! I hate all things coconut! Especially when it's in my food. I've been reviewing products for a while now, and I'm always turning my nose up at the mere thought of that particular fruit. This is a little different, the smell reminds me of a tropical paradise far far away. The coconut smell is definitely there, but it's mixed with a citrus scent, not quite lime but something extremely delicious.

It's almost the scent I would think of if I was in Hawaii or the Bahamas laying on the beach drinking something with an umbrella. Very tropical. I was already iffy, thinking I wouldn't like the smell, but I was pleasantly unexpectedly surprised.

The Coconut Lime Shea Body Butter (7 oz) is enriched with shea butter, whipped to perfection and packed with moisture. The Shea Butter is also organic, a big plus for me. If you're completely against this particular scent, you can also purchase the body butter in Almond & Honey, Brazilian Nut or Hawaiian Kukui.

On to the real winner, the Coconut Lime Sugar Scrub. This contains whole sugar grains an extra moisturizing Shea Nut Oil for deep exfoliation. It's enriched with Vitamin C to keep your skin looking young and healthy. I found this sugar scrub unique because of it's texture and the results you see after using the scrub.
The color is a beautiful blue green, and the texture is thick and jello like. Once applied to the skin and massaged in circular motions, it turns into an exfoliator, which works fabulous at getting all that dead skin and dirt out of your pores.

This is not your typical sugar scrub. Sugar scrubs can come off a bit too sugary and instead of moisturizing and exfoliating, they simply make you smell nice for a bit. The Coconut Lime Sugar Scrub has all the crucial essentials when it comes to what I look for in a shower cleanser. It smells great, and it actually lasts you hours after you use it. It exfoliates in a way I've never seen before with a sugar scrub. It feels great on your skin and won't irritate. And it moisturizes. Used in combination with the Body Butter, and you're in for a spa like treatment!

Final Thought: Although I enjoyed the Sugar Scrub more then the Body Butter, I have nothing bad to say about either product. And for around the price of $6.99, you won't find a better priced alternative. You can purchase Tree Hut products at local drugstores, Walmart, Frys, or Ulta.

  2. I have psoriasis and it's hard to find skin creams that are fun to use and yet moisturizing enough to keep the skin smoother in between and during treatments. This keeps skin smoother and yet, because of the fragrance, using it feels like a luxury - not another annoyance of routine psoriasis maintenance. The fragrance is a cross between coffee with sweetened condensed milk and cocoa butter. However, this moisturizer does come off somewhat on clothing and sheets, because it's so thick.
