Famous Dave's Moisture Tan Review

Everyone knows I'm still on the conquest of finding the perfect self tanner. Or at least a tanner that won't consist of me being in the sun and ruining my skin. In my quest for the perfect tan, I found Famous Dave's Moisture Self Tanner.

"Famous Dave's Moisture Tan™ cream lotion creates a ultimate golden tan without the need for age-robbing sun or tanning bed exposure. While developing into a natural bronze glow,

Famous Dave's Self Tanner bathes your skin in the rich emollients of Aloe Vera, Sesame, and Jojoba, which soften and add healthy moisture.

Famous Dave's Moisture Tan is fragrance-free. Famous Dave's does not contain the frequently used ingredients that cause skin to turn orange in color.
Famous Dave's Self Tanner lotion and airbrush tans dries to the touch almost immediately as it is applied to the skin and you can dress within 5 minutes of the application. The creamy lotion of Famous Dave's Self Tanner is easy to distribute evenly on the body.

Famous Dave's complements your existing tan by deepening and smoothing out your skin tones. It can be used year-round to give the most natural looking sun tan you will ever have from a bottle :

Does it work?

Ok, now I'll answer the million dollar question you all want to know. Does it work as described? Dave's Self Tanner does MOST of what it says, in fact this is the BEST self tanner I've found in a bottle yet. I've tried almost every tanner on the market, that's including every single one sold at Sephora. And all of them were "So-So". So let me explain why..

Dave's does not streak! Major plus. What' I've found with self tanners especially in a bottle is you can't really tell how much you're putting on in certain areas so after 3 or 4 hours you see streaks of orange. Dave's will not do this, as long as it's put on correctly. Major points there!

It also goes on like a basic moisturizer. It appears just like a cream and you smell nothing at first. It softens your skin like no other tanner.

It won't flake off. The last tanner I used would rub off after a couple hours, this one won't do that.

This would be an A+ except for the fact that after about 4 hours I smell that tan smell that I can't stand. It's not as strong as the others, but it's still there. But because of all the great things about this tanner, I'm willing to let that one slide. This is the most natural, easy to use self tanner I've found. I like it even more then my Luminess Tanning Machine. (Which has since broke) And at $25.97 for a 8 oz bottle it's a steal!

If you've been looking for a MAGIC self tanner, well I haven't found that yet, but Dave's Moisture Tan is the best one on the market so far. But don't worry my search is not over! You can purchase the Moisture Tan on FamousDavesTanner.com I WILL be buying another bottle when mine runs out!!

  1. I recently bought a bottle of 'Famous Daves' moisture tan dark with bronzer. I was very excited about using this as I had read some good reviews... However...I don't think it's as good as I was expecting. Yes, it's a nice colour and doesn't smell. Its an all round good product, no doubt about that. But I don't think it's at all worth the hefty price tag and I think 'Beyond Bronze' by fake bake gives a much deeper colour without the excess residue feeling and much less product is absorbed into the mitt. Plus it's cheaper. Sorry Dave, not one of the best for me.

  2. LOVE THIS TANNER!!! 5 Stars!
I have been using Famous Daves Moisture Tan for several years, now, and have never found another that can compare. Absolutely no streaking, very natural tan, easy to apply. Never a streaky or orange look. Don't waste money on any other product. I have tried many from the cheapest, to the most expensive, and this is the only one I will use! I always exfoliate first, take a warm bath, dry well, then apply. Perfect! Sandra Norrell...happy user!
