Being True Hy-Performance Mascara & Satin Lip Shine

Have you heard of Being True Cosmetics? Neither had I until I recently had the chance to sample some of their products. They carry skin care and makeup, but I only tried a few things, including my FAVORITE eyebrow product ever! (Review for that will come shortly) But here are a couple other ones I tried that are just as great.

BeingTRUE® brings together the most essential elements – clinical results, experiential treatments, and exquisite products in mineral foundation, color cosmetics, skin and body care. BeingTRUE® has one intention, passion, profession, message, mantra, dream, reality, calling, and answer – One Vision.

Look at the brush on the Hy-Performance Mascara ($22).Complete with wheat amino acids to strengthen hair follicles, jojoba seed oil to moisturize, and shellac, a natural resin that will leave lashes glossy, flake-free, and humidity-resistant. It’s the perfect complement to our evolving brand of paraben-free products. Available in 2 shades At first glance, I thought I would hate this. I like thick stubby mascara wands, which give me tons of length and the full eyelash look I'm always searching for. Much to my surprise, I love this wand! It separates your lashes and lengthens flawlessly, and although it's a little lacking in the volume department, it more then makes up for when it comes to length.

The Being True Satin Lip Shine in Pretty ($22) reminds of MAC lip gloss. It's thick and creamy but not too tacky. The color "Pretty" is sheer with little chunks of micro glitter. These glosses prove to be my favorite because they can be worn on any occassion or over your favorite lipstick for extra moisture. It contain an infusion of peppermint oil (which is exactly what it smells like) , caffeine and exotic antioxidants to accentuate the natural fullness of lips and hydrate while helping to decrease fine lines. The color on my lips is quite similar to my favorite lip gloss, MAC's Partial To Pink.

The wand has a clear stem and the applicator is a doe foot which makes piling on the gloss easy. And trust me you can pack this on. Wear only one coat for a nice extra shine or pack it on for a thick moisturizing balm. Either way I can't get enough of this stuff.

You can purchase the Satin Lip Shine in 17 different colors for $22 at BeingTrue.com Also check out their fabulous mascara. A couple more reviews to come of Being True products. For now I'm loving what they have to offer.

Disclosure: Press samples were sent to me for consideration from PR for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own. No monetary compensation was received.
