Anastasia Beverly Hills Beauty Express Kit Review

The Anastasia of Beverly Hills Beauty Express for Brows and Eyes ($39.50) is an all in one kit that contains a brow wax for your eyebrows, a brow powder duo, an eyeshadow duo, stencils and an angled brush. The set comes in two different colors, blonde & brunette. Since I'm somewhere in the middle, I chose blonde because I always pick lighter when it comes to my brows.

As mentioned in previous posts, Anastasia is my go to for all my eyebrows tools. If you have been looking for a powder or liner to fill in sparse eyebrows, look no further then Anastasia. I use her products on a daily basic, including her eyebrow liners, powders and eyebrow wax.

So I was excited about the Beauty Express Kit. I already have the powder duo in blonde, and I was running out, so this was perfect. Instead of having to carry all my brow products in a little bag, they are all in one little palette for easy travel. The only thing missing is my Anastasia Brow Whiz pencils which I LOVE and use every single day.

The one product I haven't tried from Anastasia is the brow wax. It is different then other brow waxes I have used because it is clear. I'm not sure if I like that or hate it because I can't really see where I'm applying the wax. This was probably my least favorite in the palette. And then there's of course the middle part which is the Brow Powder Duo. Honestly I've tried every brand of brow powder out there, and nothing holds a match to Anastasia. There is a lighter brown and a dark brown, and I'm not sure the concept behind the two, but I like to blend them both for the perfect eyebrow color. I can't express enough how you should really use products that are meant for your eyebrows on your brows instead of just regular eyeshadows or regular liners. There is a huge difference. Remember, the key to a good brow is to get it looking as natural as possible.

The light eyeshadow colors are meant mostly for your brow bone and inner tear duct area. I found these colors don't do much for my lids and they were extremely hard to swatch. But they are great for under your arch for that more finished look.

I love that inside the kit right next to the mirror, you get a full list of instructions on how to use each color. For a first time user of Anastasia's products, the different shades and stencils could be confusing. The kit also comes with eyebrow stencils, depending on what kind of shape you're looking for. Because I've been shaping my brows since I was 14, I really don't use the stencils, but for someone less experienced, these could really be a blessing. You won't find these in any other brow kit I've came across.

One thing I have to applaud Anastasia for is her brow brushes. Her kits don't come with flimsy applicators you would throw away or just never use. This is a great eyeshadow brush, and can be compared to my MAC or Sigma E65 Small Angle professional eyebrow brush.

The colors were a bit hard to swatch, but The Anastasia Beauty Express Kit is for anyone looking to fill in their sparse eyebrows, or just anyone wanting a more shaped eyebrow. You can read my full tutorial on how to create a perfect brow here. Die hard Anastasia fans might find they already have everything in this kit, so this wouldnt be for them. Newbies who have never tried Anastasia and have been wanting to will find this palette a great useful tool.

You can purchase the Anastasia Beauty Express kit at Anastasia.net, Nordstroms, or Sephora for $39.
