Caudalie Fresh Complexion Tinted Moisturizer Review

Do you wear tinted moisturizer? I've found it's crucial to my daily skin care regimen, especially before I apply any makeup, or in the winter when my skin is at it's most dry. It keeps your face looking fresh and moisturized throughout the day, but it's important you pick the right tinted moisturizer for your skin. If you don't you could look greasy, orange or you could break out.

The Caudalie Tinted Moisturizer in Fair/Medium ($39) is described as a silky fluid that will give your skin a natural "healthy glow". Highly concentrated in plant ingredients, it moisturizes and protects the youth of the skin.

How to use: For those with dry skin, apply the Tinted Moisturizer over day cream each morning; for those with normal to combination skin, apply each morning

When you first apply the moisturizer, it comes across way too orange, at least on my skin. But after rubbing it in, it blended much better. I think a lighter shade would have better suited my skin tone, but fair/medium is the lightest color the tinted moisturizer comes in. It did even out my skin and I think this is a great tool if you're not going to wear makeup for the day.

I wore the moisturizer under my makeup at first and I was happy with the end result, and although at first I felt this color was a bit too dark, it ended up absorbing into my face rather nicely. I'm a little disappointed there is no SPF in this product, because that is one of the main reasons I love tinted moisturizers so much. The other factor is the price. $39 is a little steep for 1 Fl ounce of tinted moisturizer. And the last negative is it only comes in two different shades (Fair Medium/Medium Dark)

The Caudalie Tinted Moisturizer can be purchased at Caudalie and Sephora. Overall it's a nice product, and it is sheer and lightweight. It can be used on sensitive skin too, so all skin types can wear it, under or over your daily face cream. My biggest concern is the lack of SPF and the price. But the coverage and wear is pretty good, if you're a Caudalie fan, or a huge lover of tinted moisturizers, it's worth at least one purchase.
