Sojourn Hair Care

Like so many of the hairstylists we meet on a daily basis our passion for the art and craft of hairstyling goes beyond the simple desire to earn a living. It is an extension of the love we have for beauty and fashion, architecture and design, people and nature. The commitment we have to family, the professionals we work with, and the next generation of stylists. A pledge that now extends to Sojourn. We have been blessed with an intimate perspective on the culture of hairdressing and some of the world’s greatest hairstylists—men and women who revolutionized the art of modern hairstyling. Our respect for these artists runs deep. Hairdressing is a noble profession enriched by a strong tradition of skilled craftsmanship and carefully nurtured alliances. The bonds that come from guiding, encouraging and supporting another individual in developing the skills needed to be successful are the very essence of our industry.

Sojourn Hair Care is one of the best hair care companies I have come across in a long time. I am SO picky when it comes to what I use on my hair, because I have color treated hair, and I'm prone to split ends.

The moisturize line was perfect for my hair because I suffer from dry split ends, like most of the world. The shampoo and conditioner uses a special blend of protein rich Keratin cashmere and Cystine which is used to penetrate essential amino acids deep into the hair's cuticle. In other words, the shampoo and conditioner prevents breakage and smooths your hair. It's like a smoothing treatment for your hair everyday.

My absolute must have frm Sojourn is the Leave in Detangler. This stuff is soo amazing. It instantly gets rid of tangles and knots while smoothing and conditioning and making it ready for the blow dryer or iron. A lot of detanglers will break your hair when you brush it through, this one is the opposite. It's also good for right before going out in the sun because it has UV protection. The bottle is pretty big so you're getting a good amount of product for around 21 bucks. This is a must have for me. Especially because my hair is soo tangled once I get out of the shower. The Sojourn Sculpting Taffy is a dramatically different all-in-one sculpting tool that gives extra hold, shine and protection to long, short or in- between styles. Enriched with the superior emollient properties of maracuja oil, this low pH (4.5-5.5), lightweight, non-greasy formulation conditions and fortifies hair as it styles. The one thing I noticed about the Sculpting Taffy is it gave me more shine. I don't think it really helped in "sculpting" my hair, but my locks are a tougher case then most.

Overall Sojourn is a great hair care line. My only problem is figuring out where to find it. You can find the closest salon that carries the line here, unfortunatly there aren't any in my area, so I'll have to order this on Amazon or other online sites.

Sojourn was also named one of the best beauty products of 2010 per the View. Here's a quick clip of the show.
