Anastasia Beverly Hills Illumin8 Bronzer Review + Swatches

Have you tried the Anastasia Beverly Hills Illumin8 Eyeshadows? They are anti-aging and they are fabulous! Well now Anastasia has came out with the Illumin8 Bronzer. ($29)

What is it? A hydrating bronzer powder that addresses aging concerns.

What it does: Illumin8 Bronzer gives skin an instant sun-kissed glow without the sun. This clinically and consumer-tested bronzing powder hydrates the skin and helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Youthful Synergy™ Complex features: brown algae, a key ingredient that smoothes, firms, hydrates, and revitalizes the appearance of skin; diamond core powder, which diffuses shadows and minimizes the appearance of pores and wrinkles

The bronzer is meant to be long wearing, fragrance free, and clinically proven to hydrate skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines. Wow right? A bronzer that does all that? Sounds too good to be true.

I haven't been much for new bronzers lately, mostly because I usually only stick to my Chanel Bronzer which has always been my favorite. Plus there are so many bad ones on the market, picking a good one is next to impossible, at least for me. This one proves to be a bit different. The powder is extremely matte, and there is a bit of sparkle shown in my close up picture of the product, but when applied, the sparkle fades a bit. Which is ok with me, because I really think bronzer shouldn't have too much bling.

So the palette the product comes in is gorgeous, and I love how it can be used as a compact too. But I don't dare carry this around in my purse, for fear I will drop it and the whole thing will crack apart. The bronzer comes in two different shades, Sun Kissed & Sun Bronzed. They are extremely similar and I think Sun Kissed is more for lighter skin gals. And although I am fair skinned- the pics seen above and below are the Sun Bronzed palette, which still work well.

So does it work? I've been using the palette for a couple weeks now, and I'm more then happy with the results. I get good bronzed color with no sparkle or shimmer (which makes it look much more natural) and I'm hoping that it's firming and getting rid of fine lines. The only problem being that most of my fine lines are around my eyes and mouth which are places I usually don't apply bronzer. So I just took a small amount and applied it over my concealer for a bit more color. I haven't noticed any difference in lines YET, but I'm hoping in due time the bronzer will start to do all it says it does.

But I'm not dissapointed, in the least because I buy bronzers only for their bronzing effect. And this one is a true gem. I can put it right up there with my Chanel, although my Chanel is more of a foundation bronzer, so when I don't feel like going that route, I have my Anastasia Illumin8 Bronzer for a powder bronzer. Powder bronzers are much nicer when your skin is oily or you want a more matte look. Did I mention the Anastasia Bronzer also hydrates your skin? Just another reason to check this one out..

End result? I LOVE This stuff! One of my favorite bronzers EVER! Natural looking matte bronzer at it's best. Purchase this at Anastasia Beverly Hills for $29 and of course Sephora.
