Kelo-Cote Scar Gel

Do you have scars? Nothing working for you? I have a couple ugly scars I've been trying to get rid of for years now.  I had a mole removed from my shoulder about 2 years ago, and the scar is so horrible. My doctor told me I scar really bad, so I always have a good scar cream on hand. I usually use Mederma Scar Gel, but buying it every month is getting a bit expensive! So for the past couple weeks I've been using Kelo-Cote. A scar "gel" vs the cream.

The Siliclear Complex™ is the foundation of Kelo-cote® scar treatment products; it refers to their patented combination of silicone ingredients including long chain polymer liquid, volatile, and solid silicones. This precise formula, combined with a highly specialized manufacturing process, transforms these ingredients into our highly effective scar treatment gels and spray.

Because of this process, the gel is suitable for people with sensitive skin or for children. Which is good because since I've been pregnant, my skin has really been acting up.

I applied the gel as directed. Apply twice daily in a thin layer to clean skin and allow to dry. It does say the minimum treatment time is 60 to 90 days and older scars may take longer to show improvement. Of course the long term results are to be determined, and I'm not seeing too much of a difference, but these things take time.

What are the benefits of Kelo-Cote?
