Review of Lush's Valentine's Day 2014 Collection

Happy almost Valentine's Day beauties!!! I had the exciting chance to take a peek at the LUSH Valentine's Day 2014 Collection which is now available on LUSHUSA .com   I know I previously wrote a bit about everything before, but now that I've experienced it all for myself, I wanted to let you know what was my favorites were, and what was dissapointing.  So keep reading to find out more.....

"What’s inside this locket? You’ll need to break this heart-shaped bomb in half to find out! Use each half and the center for three separate baths (each piece is big enough to stand on its own), or sink in with the whole thing all at once. The outside layer is speckled with paper hearts that will float out to the surface of the pink water, and the hidden center releases a smattering of shiny red agar seaweed hearts to create a spectacular bath time display. The sensual blend of vanilla, jasmine and neroli essential oils top off the luxurious and indulgent experience."

Ok this is just FUN. Who wouldn't fall in love with the look of this bath bomb? Almost too gorgeous to use, it's a big heart with a locket. I threw the whole thing in the bath tub, and the ENTIRE bath filled up with pink water, and what was the surprise? Little hearts inside the bath bomb! This is a must have gift for the special girl in your life. she will LOVE you if you buy this for her. If I was a guy I would create a gift basket filled with Lush products and a few of these hearts for decoration. I love Valentine's Day. It's one of my favorite holidays if not my favorite, I wish guys would embrace it more!

So yes this was a bitch to clean up afterwards, but relaxing in the bath with a good book and this bath bomb to soften your skin leaves you relaxed and feeling energized afterwards. Jasmine isn't my favorite scent, and the WHOLE house smelled like this thing after. Such a shame I could only get one use out of this.  I tried to break it in half so I could save it and make it last a bit longer, but it didn't work too well. It ended up exploding so I just threw it all in.

It creates a bit of a mess but the end result is worth it. My only complaint is I wish it was a littttle smaller so I could buy 5 little ones vs a big huge heart that has to be used in one bath.  But who could pass on the design of this little bomb? It would be the perfect topper for any Valentine's Day Gift.

"You may recognize the name and fragrance of this product from Valentine’s past, but this year it takes on a new, bigger form. LUSH perfumer Simon Constantine made a perfume he called “Vanilla Orchid”; we fell in love with it and borrowed it for this product. The perfume is full of romantic essential oils, including vanilla absolute, jasmine absolute and ylang ylang oil. This sensual shea and murumuru butter bar is made with an aeration technique that allows the butters to melt easily onto skin for a smooth, tender massage."
I've never tried out Lush's massage bars. Mostly because I never understood how to use them. But I can see why this would be a crucial part of a Valentine's Day Collection.  So if you too are unsure how to use this, it's like a butter bar for your skin. Just rub it on, (without water) and your skin is left soft and smelling like jasmine.  I'm not sure how I feel about massage bars, or if I will ever purchase one in the future, but if you are a fan of Jasmine you will probably love this.  I think massage bars are best used when you're "with your loved one" and I might have to try a different approach next time. Perfect for Valentine's Day Night. *wink!*

"Made with luxurious butters and a delicious vanilla scent, this sweet massage bar is guaranteed to bring someone special close to you! This is one of our smooshable bars, which can be pressed between your palms, melted and used for one glorious, all-over body massage. It’s inspired by a British cookie called the Jammy Dodger, which is made of shortbread with raspberry jam in the middle. If you peek in the heart-shape on the top of the massage bar you’ll see the scrumptious white fondant center."

This is the one product I did not try, but wow is it pretty!!!

"Lather up in our brand new, limited edition shower gel! Fresh pomegranate juice and grapefruit oil cleanse the skin while their bright, energetic scents help wake you up on early mornings. Add to that a blend of Fair Trade vanilla pod infusion, skin-softening marshmallow root and almond oil, and you’re in for royally soft, moisturized skin all over. The fragrance was made especially for this product and we think it’s an instant classic. Prince Charming is bound to sweep you off your feet!"

LUSH is known for their shower gels and soaps. When I visit their website to buy something, the first thing I always go for is a shower gel. Their selection is quite unique and extensive.  The Prince Charming is no different. It smells like a Grapefruit Marshmallow.  It's a strong smell that will linger on your skin, which is a plus. It's a scent unlike anything else you will ever smell, (which is why I love Lush so much)  Of course I won't be able to do it justice, this is something you will have to experience for yourself. And if you've tried Lush products you know, either you will LOVE it, or hate it. I love this one and  I would put it in my top 5 Lush Shower Gels. It doesn't remind me much of Valentine's Day and of course its Limited Edition. I highly recommend getting the bigger bottle because this stuff goes quickly and is HIGHLY addicting!

"We’re excited to introduce a brand new soap made especially for Valentine’s Day. With fresh passion fruit juice to cleanse and soya yogurt to nourish, Neon Love is one we want to use all over our bodies in the bath and shower. A new perfume was blended for this bar, and includes citrusy bergamot, rosewood and spicy cinnamon leaf oil. Hiding inside the huge heart-shaped soap are little white hearts to ensure every slice looks just as beautiful as it smells."

Ok I'm going to say it. Hands down my favorite soap from Lush! Yes it's true. Not only did I fall for the gorgeous design and the little hearts all over the soap bar, but the smell is cinnamon and fruit combined. If you're going out on a hot Valentine's day date, wash up this thing and you will be smelling romantic but spicy, in a good way! I thought a lot about if I liked this better then the Kiss Lip Gloss and I just couldn't decide because they are two completely different products. Both are amazing though.

The Kiss has it all; vegan, preservative-free, highly moisturizing and softening, subtle color and lots of shine. The whipped buttery base of Fair Trade shea and cupuacu melt on to soften and hydrate lips while almond and organic mandarin oils bring lip-smacking flavor. Organic agave syrup smoothes on for a high shine finish, boosted by PET-free sparkles. We top this gloss off with a dash of guarana seed powder, one of nature’s boosters, to make your lips feel plump, soft and absolutely kissable.

This was my absolute favorite from the Lush Valentine's Day Collection. I'm not one for lip glosses that you have to stick your finger in. Then of course your friends want to stick their fingers in and well that's pretty gross.  But not only is the packaging oh so adorable, it has a gorgeous matte pink color that looks extremely natural on your lips, and like all Lush Lip Gloss you want to lick it right off because it tastes like a cherry/strawberry marshmallow. You will want to kiss someone after applying a bit of this so the name serves well. If you purchase anything from the Valentine's Day Collection, this is your best bet.

So overall, this is my favorite  Lush Valentine's Day Collection to date. Everything was amazing and I can tell Lush put a lot of thought and time into this one.  If you're thinking about buying anything you saw you better hurry because it IS Limited Edition. Which means it's probably NEVER coming back. Visit now
