Hey beauties! The last couple weeks I've been buying up so many products from the drugstore and Sephora I'm seriously losing track of what is what and what day it is. All I know is I started piles of what I didn't like, what I kind of liked and what I loved. A couple things I've found I don't even think I could live without. I know right? There is something so gratifying about when you find that one beauty product and you know your life has been changed forever. Sound dramatic? If you love makeup like I do then you know what I'm talking about.
I've also contemplated doing You Tube videos. I noticed most all makeup lovers/gurus have been filming things instead of typing. For some reason I like the old school idea of typing up the reviews vs the new aged "filming" way. Plus so many people are doing You Tube, I think I'm going to stay with the endless "typing" reviews. What do you guys think? I would love to know.
So here is the start of some of the things I really can't live without. I'm still debating if I want to write a post about the things I really hated. I feel so bad writing bad things about a product, but I also can't stand when I go to a blog that just sugar coats each product because they are afraid to speak the truth. That is NOT me.
I've been a fan of It Cosmetics for a couple years now. Ever since they came out with their amazing concealer, (which I still love to this day) I've been hooked. I'm surprised they haven't popped up into Sephora yet, since they are such a growing brand. I see them constantly on I think QVC, and I stop myself each time from buying up every little thing. Plus they throw, "anti-aging" on to the front of the makeup and then I'm totally hooked.
It Cosmetics has recently came out with lip gloss. Yes you knew it was coming. And you probably had an idea that it was going to be FABULOUS. And of course it is. Actually one is a butter gloss, one is a "Gloss Stain" and one is more of a lipstick called the "Vitality Lip Flush" Wow. You ask what all that is? Let me tell you.
So the one on the left is the Vitality Butter Gloss in "Joyful and the second is the "Vitality Gloss Stain in color "Je Ne Sais Quoi" They both are Anti Aging? although I'm not sure how It Cosmetics does all this miracle Anti Aging stuff! Either way it sucks me in everytime. Both glosses remind me of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Hydrafull Glosses that I fell in love with about a year ago. This formula is much thicker and richer though and extremely pigmented Both of these glosses are super moisturizing, but aren't sticky or tacky like. You can really tell the difference in a high class effective lip gloss and the cheap sticky ones you buy at the drugstore for 99 cents.
These also remind me of MAC glosses except once again the formula is much better. And both products claim to have ingredients such as Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid, Peptides, Plum Oil, Cherry Oil, Shea Butter, Avocado Oil, Argan Oil and Jojoba which work together to treat, hydrate, condition, and nourish your lips, minimizing the appearance of lip lines and wrinkles.
So 3 glosses? There's usually one out of the bunch I throw to the side. Not happening with any of these. They are all fabulous alone or can be used together to create the ultimate plump hydrated anti aging LIP color! I thought the best look for me was putting together the gloss and the flush to create a gorgeous bright pink... but keep reading!
The Hydrating Gloss Stain in Je Ne Sais Quoi ($24) appears to be a clear gloss that maybe could be used as a top coat over a lipstick or a deeper colored gloss. That is so not the case, because when swatched it's more of a soft baby pink. The smell is a bit like candy on my lips. Yum. This is the perfect gloss not only because of it's consistency, but like I said previous, it's very similar to my MAC glosses, but I feel like this feels better on my lips and lasts much longer.
This is the Vitality Butter Gloss in "Joyful" which is a deep pinkish red that really does and could look flawless on any skin tone or lip type. I wore this when I was super pale and it really brought out not only my face, but made my lips appear fuller and more pigmented. At $24 I would probably think this a bit expensive for a lip gloss, but once you try it, you know you're getting your money's worth.
So sorry for the picture of a somewhat used Vitality Lip Flush which is my favorite, most impressive product out of the three. At first glance it appears just like a basic clear lip conditioner but oh no, it is so much more then what meets the eye....
When applied, it showcases the TRUE pigmentation of your lips. So when I applied it on my normal lip, the color turned into a peachy pink that looked so completely natural. If you didnt know, everyone has a natural pigmentation to your lips, and some are much more red, and some are paler then others. You always want to bring out the natural pigment of your lips to make it appear as if you aren't wearing ANY gloss. (Which is the look some people are looking for) If that's your ultimate goal, these lip stains are right up your alley.
Vitality Lip Butter in Je Ne Sais Quoi, Vitality Butter Gloss "Joyful", Lip flush in Je Ne Sais Quoi
It's so interesting how the Vitality Lip Flush (on the far right) looks so soft and light, and on my actual lips looks a much deeper pink. From the paper to my lips the color is so different. This is me with only the Je Ne Sais Quoi AND "Joyful" on top. Love both colors together.
You can tell that it took my normal pigment of my lips and just brought it out into a bright pink color that I LOVE. It cosmetics really knows what they are doing when they create these lip glosses.
And this is the lip butter which looks so gorgeous and natural. It created a soft gloss and once again brought out the true pigments of my lips. It hydrated and repaired my lips from this horrible dry weather Arizona is having lately. These might be my favorite glosses of the Summer.
It Cosmetics lip stains and lip flushes are available on It Cosmetic's Website now.
